Dr. Sandra Gelblicht is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist passionate about helping people navigate life’s challenges, reduce suffering, and increase joyfulness in their day to day lives. She appreciates that emotional pain and difficulty come in many forms throughout the course of one’s life experience. She, not only, believes that relief can indeed be achieved, but that growth and strength are its ultimate effects. This transformation is facilitated and supported by a safe, productive, and collaborative therapeutic relationship that aligns with your unique circumstances, needs, and desires.
Dr. Gelblicht works with adults, couples, and families. Some of her treatment specialties include anxiety, autism spectrum disorders, depression, relationship/communication difficulties, men’s mental health, life transitions/aging, and trauma. Her approach is eclectic and utilizes cognitive behavioral, humanistic, and psychodynamic modalities and principles. Dr. Gelblicht uses warmth, compassion, and a collaborative style to build strong and empowering relationships with her clients and respects that taking the first step towards helping yourself is a difficult, significant, and empowering action on the road to a more whole and gratifying life.
Dr. Gelblicht received her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from California Southern University,Costa Mesa. She also holds a Master of Arts degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University (formerly Institute for Transpersonal Psychology), Palo Alto. She is a member of the American Psychological Association, the California Psychological Association, and the Los Angeles County Psychological Association.
