Oriana Murphy,LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

ABOUT ME
Oriana Murphy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Los Angeles, CA who specializes in trauma-informed care from an anti-oppression, collective care, and liberation lens. Oriana believes in meeting individuals where they are at, and that building safety and support is a community effort that sometimes starts within the therapeutic relationship and grows outward.
Oriana works with individuals and families who are experiencing challenges related to substance use, mood changes, relational/attachment difficulties, and general life transitions. Oriana supports and celebrates all identities, relationship orientations, and bodies!
Clinically, Oriana’s approach is to center the needs of her clients and their communities, by not perceiving herself as the expert, and working in collaboration. While recognizing that many experience marginalization, stigma, and other barriers when attempting to access mental health support, Oriana hopes to provide accessible grounding skills to those she works with. These tools come from a variety of modalities including Brainspotting, Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), Sociometric and Psychodramatic techniques, Harm Reduction and other substance use recovery methods, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Family Systems, and Psychodynamic Therapy.
With a recognition of her own privileges within the mental health space, Oriana is dedicated and committed to supporting her clients in the healing process; knowing this journey isn’t always linear, she hopes to guide her clients along their way.
