ABOUT ME
Alexa is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist who values authenticity, balance, and connection. Alexa's therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate, and sensible, while providing a safe, inclusive, client centered, and collaborative environment for clients to explore, grow, and communicate. Alexa supports clients in exploring their behavior, thoughts, and emotions, in an effort to live a life that honors their core values and most authentic, genuine selves. Alexa believes there is no "one size fits all” approach to therapy and meets clients where they are at in their process.
Alexa integrates various therapeutic modalities into her work such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems, Solution Focused Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, and provides trauma informed care. Alexa is passionate towards the treatment of trauma, addiction, anxiety, mood disorders, borderline personality disorder, and offers LGBTQ+ affirmative, culturally sensitive therapy to adults, adolescents, and families.
Alexa earned her BA from Loyola Marymount University and received her MA in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Alexa's previous experience includes working with adults and adolescents in private practice, treatment centers, and diverse counseling clinics with clients from varying backgrounds, communities. Alexa is sensitive to the challenges that are faced trying to lead balanced, healthy lives, and welcomes the opportunity to help you achieve greater insight and fulfillment.
